"woher" und "wohin"
"whence" and "whereto"
"why" and "wherefore"
"because" and "in order to":

simply,
"a cause".

Bridging
"causation" and "purpose",

remaining external
or becoming external for "the cause" is the external, the "it" of "i (did/do/will) cause it" -

it's the crest of the wave of past present future
and the link between us four-dimensional creatures and our three-dimensional ideas.
